105 Year Old Restaurant Joins the Pearl District Revival

Another stretch of 11th Street is coming back to life.

After more than a century Ike's Chili is using their classic recipe to revive their business and a part of Tulsa's Pearl District.

A comfort food from 1908 is pulling in a crowd.

Their old building on admiral needed updating, so they bought this one and gambled on a move.

After several months of struggle with the city's permitting process, they're bringing new life to their business and giving a boost to new neighborhood.

The new location is convenient for people downtown and their traditional customers from out east.

Owner Len Wade says think this place is going to work out.

"I'm 4th generation my nephew is 5th generation. We've made a big investment to be here for another 100 years. Customers all week this week have been like wow! This is Ike's, this is still Ike's."

Their Texas-style chili is served 3-ways.

That's Chili with beans and spaghetti and they think it's a dish that can take their business into a promising future.

They're located at 11th and Rockford just west of Hillcrest Medical Center.
