A 14-year-old girl from Keota is dead after the vehicle she was driving rolled and struck and tree Monday morning.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the victim, in a 2009 Chevy HHR, was traveling southbound on County Road South 4564 in Haskell County at a high rate of speed.
Troopers say the driver lost control and departed the dirt roadway to the left, rolling one-half time and striking a tree. The vehicle came to rest on its top.
The 14-year-old was pronounced dead on scene after being freed from the vehicle by Keota Fire and Rescue.
The OHP report states the victim was not wearing a seat belt.
