A teen is dead Monday after being hit by a train over the weekend in Muskogee.
Police were notified of the fatal accident late Sunday evening. This was in the downtown area of Muskogee east of South Main and Elgin Street.
An initial report states that 17-year-old Marco Torres was struck by a Union Pacific train. He had reportedly been crawling under a stationary train when it began to move and struck him.
Muskogee Police state that an engineer saw Torres' body on the tracks and notified the authorities.
Investigators state that alcohol may have played a role in the accident, according to evidence at the scene.
