300 Bikers Ride along I-40 in Support of Veterans

Run For the Wall

300 bikers came down I-40 on their way to the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C., Sunday morning.

According to Bishop Randell Drake of New Horizon Ministries, the bikers are traveling to D.C. in recognition of veterans' sacrifices and contributions made to the nation.

The name of this event is called Run For the Wall and they ride from all over, joining up with each other along the way.

This is their eighth year of travel to D.C., yet third year through Oklahoma.

Bishop Drake gathered 12 churches together to support the bikers on the road.

Each church gathered with signs and refreshments at 12 exits along I-40 from Shawnee to Sallisaw to encourage and cheer for the bikers as they drove through.

These 300 bikers are expected to meet up with about 2,000 others at the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C.
