36-Year-Old Arrested for Driving Wrong Way, Colliding into Other Vehicle
Tulsa Police arrested a Jenks woman today for reportedly driving the wrong way on US Highway 169 and crashing into another vehicle.
Just before 3 a.m. Wednesday, TPD received word that a vehicle was traveling northbound in a southbound lane. Officers were then sent to 4600 S. Highway 169 where they witnessed Jessica Kennon's vehicle, a 2003 Ford Expedition, had collided into another one.
According to the arrest report, an officer found 36-year-old Kennon sitting in the driver side of the wrecked Expedition. He said that he noticed a strong odor of alcohol "about her breathe and person."
Kennon stated that she had been drinking prior to the wreck, but that she didn't remember how much. The officer observed that she was unsteady on her feet and had a staggered walk.
Back in 1999, Kennon was arrested for a previous DUI in Broken Arrow. She is due in court next week.
