Tulsa police say they wrote 57 tickets and made a DUI arrest Friday night in their DUI checkpoint near 3100 S. Memorial Dr.
Two cars were towed during the checkpoint, one because the driver had no license or insurance.
The other car towed was part of the DUI arrest. Police say the suspect drove through the checkpoint. The suspect refused to take a DUI test after he was chased down.
The crackdown was a part of the "Safer Summer in Tulsa" campaign from TPD. Police report that overtime funding for the checkpoint was funded by the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office.
