66ers Win Again At Idaho, 97-85

Jerome Dyson scored 26 points to lead the Tulsa 66ers to a second straight victory over the Idaho Stampede, 97-85 Saturday night in Boise, Idaho.The 66ers (2-0) trailed 25-15 before a massive 27-to-2 run that spanned the first and second quarters, giving Tulsa a 42-27 lead on Xavier Alexander's three-pointer with 5:25 left in the half.The lead would grow to as many as 21 points before Idaho ended the half with a 9-4 run, cutting the lead to 58-42.Tulsa's lead would hold, but just barely. The Stampede went on an 18-4 run in the third quarter to pull within a single point, 66-65 on Kevin Galloway's lay-up.But, the 66ers pulled away late in the fourth quarter to capture the win.Tulsa had a huge advantage on the boards, out-rebounding the Stampede 50-31, including 16 offensive rebounds.Joining Dyson in double figure scoring for Tulsa was Marcus Lewis with 20 points and 16 rebounds, Ryan Reid with 14 points and 12 rebounds and Dwight Buycks with 11 points.Tony Bobbitt led Idaho (0-2) with 17 points.Tulsa will return to play Wednesday night at the Texas Legends. The Legends opened the season Saturday with a 101-96 loss to Austin.
