Additional Vandalism Found Near Illinois River
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is investigating after further vandalism was discovered near the Illinois River.
Bright yellow paint has been cleaned up from Bathtub Rock, which was painted on recently. Workers cleaned Bathtub Rock with wire brushes and elbow grease.
The additional vandalism has been found near Goats Bluff. Bright yellow paint was used once again, and the spot of vandalism is on private property.
The Oklahoma Scenic Rivers Commission administrator said the vandalism can be seen from the river.
The reward for information resulting in the arrest and prosecution of the individuals involved is $1,000. Save the Illinois River believes the suspects to be named Kristi and Taysia.
