Air Traffic Controller Furloughs Could Cause Major Delays
Air travelers may experience long delays starting next week. Air traffic controllers begin unpaid furloughs on Sunday. It's part of the federal budget cuts for the FAA. Those furloughs are expected to cause delays at major airports. Chicago's O'Hare could see average delays of about 50 minutes and Atlanta could experience delays up to three and a half hours. Bad weather or equipment problems could make the situation worse.
