Alleged Drunk Driver Hits Motorcycle, Rider on Riverside

Tulsa Police believe alcohol played a part in an injury crash overnight Sunday along Riverside Drive.

Police got the call just before 1:45am at the intersection of 51st street. Investigators said a man on a motorcycle was stopped at the crossing. Traffic signals at the intersection still aren't working due to last week's storm. Police said the man yielded properly to the four-way stop sign posted in the middle.

Seconds later, a car came up from behind and hit the man's bike. The impact knocked him to the ground and caused some serious injuries.

EMSA paramedics transported the man to an area hospital. Police said he should make a full recovery.

An officer told Channel 8 the woman driving the car, identified as 32-year-old Crystal Kiff, was drunk. Video from the scene shows Tulsa officers giving her a DUI test.

Kiff was arrested and taken to the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of driving under the influence and speeding too fast for the conditions.
