Murder Suspect Turns Self in After Standoff with Police
A murder suspect turned himself into Tulsa Police following a warrant standoff in South Tulsa, Wednesday, Jan. 23.
Police blockaded the area near 58th and Madison Ave. to serve a first-degree murder warrant to Henry "Hank" Laird, 17, wanted for the murder of his mother. Laird then turned himself over to police custody.
Laird's mother, Linda Laird, 56, was found dead on arrival Tuesday, Jan. 22.
Police found Linda lying on the floor at the base of the staircase in the living room, according to the police report.
Investigators at the scene wrote that she had a large amount of blood around her head and body and determined the cause of death a homicide.
Laird was seen leaving with Josiah Sklar, 20, who was arrested early Wednesday morning for first-degree murder.
