Apartment Fire Displaces Residents in East Tulsa

An apartment fire was extinguished Monday morning in east Tulsa.

Crews were notified of the fire before 6 a.m. over at the Observation Point Apartments.

Initial reports state that the fire was started by smoking on a balcony. Tulsa Fire Department added that the strong winds overnight escalated the flames during the fire attack.

Residents were evacuated from the building that caught on fire. Four of the 16 apartments are ruined.

It is unknown how many residents occupy the apartment complex.
