Appeals Requests Denied, Execution Tuesday in McAlester

George Ochoa

A convicted murderer will be executed this Tuesday evening.

Both a federal judge and appeals court have denied George Ochoa's final appeals. He will receive a lethal injection Tuesday evening at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester.

The 38-year-old was convicted of the 1993 shooting deaths of an Oklahoma City couple with their three young children home.

His attorneys claim he is insane, and Oklahoma's procedure for determining competency for execution is unconstitutional. The courts rejected both claims.

Ochoa maintains he is innocent.
