It was a fiesta Wednesday for some Tulsa 7th graders to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
Students from several schools came together at Hale High School to participate in and watch performances common in South America.
They even wore traditional Hispanic attire and instruments.
Organizers, like Dr. Pauline Harris, say it helps kids understand the diverse student population in Tulsa even more.
"This helps students to understand there are students they go to school with everyday, understand their culture, the passion that exists in families that they bring from various cultural backgrounds."
Students from Hale, Edison and Central high schools took part in Wednesday's event.
