The Arkansas Razorbacks were 4 points away from one of the biggest home wins in program history. The 10th ranked Hogs made one too many mistakes against the number 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. Arkansas Quarterback Ryan Mallett threw 3 interceptions including the game sealing pick with time winding down. Alabama put the game on the back of their Heisman trophy winning running back Mark Ingram, Ingram ran for 157 yards and two touchdowns including the go ahead score with 3:18 left to play. The Hogs fall to 3-1 on the season and 1-1 in SEC play. Both teams finished with 421 yards, but each team got theirs in very different ways. Arkansas relied on Mallett's arm, gaining 357 yards through the air, with only 64 rushing yards. The Crimson Tide, only threw for 194 yards but racked up 227 yards on the ground. The Hogs inability to run the ball and therefore milk the clock likely hurt them down the stretch.
