Arthur Becomes First Hurricane of the Season
Thursday morning, tropical storm Arthur was upgraded to a category one hurricane.
It is now threatening July 4th plans for millions along the East Coast.
The hurricane reached maximum sustained wind speeds of 75 miles per hour as it spun off the coasts of Georgia and Florida, making its way to North Carolina.
Many July 4th celebrations have been canceled because of the storm and some cities in its path are beginning to order evacuations.
