AT&T Reports Service Restored After Network Problems

Officials with AT&T announced Thursday morning that U-verse service has been restored after a minor network issue caused outages for some customers.

The problem began Wednesday morning and lasted throughout the day until Thursday.

A spokesman with AT&T issued this statement:

"U-verseservice has been restored for the vast majority of our customers affected bythe outage. We expect any remaining customer issues will be resolved thismorning. We will provide a credit to customers who were affected. We knowour customers count on their U-verse service and we apologize for theinconvenience."

A spokesperson said a limited number of customers were affected and technicians were working to fix the issue Wednesday.

On Wednesday AT&T issued this statement:

"AT&T customers in some of our markets are experiencing issues with U-verse service. This issue currently affects less than one percent of our U-verse subscribers, but that is too many and we are working hard to fix this. We are making progress in resolving the issue, which is related to a server complex, and are working to determine when service will be completely restored. We apologize for this inconvenience."
