Authorities Locate Man Wanted for Adair County Murder

      Authorities arrested a man most wanted for the death of his father-in-law out of Adair County Thursday morning.

      Deputies with the Adair County Sheriff's Office have been searching for James Douglas Manken after he was charged with the July beating death of Wayne Wennerholm in Watts. That's located east of Tulsa along Highway 59.

      Information from the ACSO stated that authorities with the U.S. Marshal's Office and the Benton County Sheriff's Office in Arkansas apprehended Manken. He was taken into custody at his mother's residence in Cherokee City in Arkansas.

      Officials were offering a $5,000 reward with the assistance of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Wennerholm was 71-years-old at the time of his death.

      Previous reports from KTUL state that Janice Manken and James' mother Diane Hope Nunley were taken into custody for their alleged roles in the homicide. All were taken to the Adair County Jail.
