A large grass fire west of Skiatook temporarily closed Highway 20 at Ranchland Road this afternoon due to smoke blowing over the roadway as a result of the fire.
The roadway has been reopened and was closed for a total of one hour and 43 minutes.
The grass fire, located north of Highway 20, is now contained according to authorities.
Jeff Whiteman of Morgans Corner Fire Department said that it is not clear yet where the fire started but an investigation is ongoing.
According to Whiteman, many fire departments in surrounding areas responded to help to backburn the fire to keep it along the highway and keep it from hitting structures.
No structures were affected by the fire.
