The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is offering a cash reward for anyone who can provide helpful information as they try to locate James Manken, a 40-year-old homicide suspect.The OSBI was called in to assist the Adair County Sheriff's Office in the homicide investigation on July 13. Manken has since been identified as a suspect in the homicide of Wayne Wennerholm, who is Manken's father in law, according to court records and the Adair County Sheriff's Office.Authorities have not yet been able to locate him. They have arrested his wife, 27 year old Janice Manken, who is accused being an accomplice to the brutal and fatal beating of her father. Court records say Janice Manken admitted to her husband killing her father for laying around and sleeping too much. According to a court reported interview, Janice Manken said she, her husband and their son went camping after the murder."She was an accomplice. She did help him and you know, she eventually did turn herself in," said Under Sheriff Jarrod Brown. "Mr. Manken is wanted for murder first degree and it is pretty important we find him and get him off the streets. He did beat a 71 year old man to death," said Brown.Manken's mother was arrested in Arkansas accused of aiding and abetting a wanted man."People are going to jail for helping him. We're not playing with them," said Brown. He said Brown could be in Arkansas, Oklahoma or Missouri. Manken is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities say citizen should call police, is they see him.
A $5,000 reward is being offered to the person who provides information to the OSBI. Anyone who wishes to provide information can call the ACSO at 918-696-2610 or the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
