      BA Water Conservation Ends Wednesday

BROKEN ARROW, OK - The voluntary water conservation advisory in the City of Broken Arrow will be lifted at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, according to Krista Flasch, City of Broken Arrow.

A high concentration of algae in the Verdigris River had forced staff to undertake additional cleanings of the membrane filters at the water treatment plant, reducing production capacity.

The increased demand for water due to the weather also compounded the situation.

Staff has completed the initial cleaning of the membrane filters and will begin gradually increasing production of treated water.
