Bartlesville Voters Approve Sales Tax Extension

Voters in Bartlesville approved a half-cent sales tax extension during Tuesday's election.

The extension continues to fund the Capital Improvement Project over the next seven years, with projects totaling approximately $21 million throughout the city.

Thirty-six percent of the projects involve street improvements, including Hillcrest Drive from 18th Street to the Caney River.

Priority improvement projects include upgrading or replacing 49 police patrol cars, at a cost of approximately $1.47 million, two city dump trucks and generators at several fire stations.
