Bat Sets Off Alarms In Tulsa School

The home of the eagles is invaded by a bat early Friday.

Tulsa Police flocked to Edison High School early Friday expecting to arrest a burglar, but the real suspect was a winged, creature of the night.

Officers went to check the campus after the buildings motion-sensor burglary alarms activated. The officers on scene called in the police helicopter in case a human suspect tried to run and hide.

Instead, the officers noticed their sinister culprit flying around inside the building. They suspect it entered through a door that was cracked open. Police found nothing else missing or suspicious that would indicate a break-in or burglar.

Officers told they caught and released the "rather large" bat without incident.
