Bird Creek Bridge Replacement Approved

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation approved Monday a new eight-year construction which includes a replacement to a heavily traveled portion of U.S. 169 in Tulsa County.

The $6 billion plan includes almost 2,000 highway and bridge improvement projects.

The project to replace the U.S. 169 truss bridges over Bird Creek between Tulsa and Owasso is now scheduled for 2015.

The Bird Creek project is expected to cost $20 million.
