Thousands flocked Oklahoma's largest barbecue festival in Bixby on Saturday. The Bixby Barbecue and Blues Festival was organized by the Rotary Club of Bixby and held at the Washington Irving Memorial Park every year.
Across yesterday and today, 80 teams competed for recognition as the best barbecue in the state and 11 musical acts performed all to raise money for the community of Bixby.
The Bixby YMCA, Bixby Outreach Center and Bixby Public Schools are among the recipients of the money raised, which was expected to be more than $600,000.
The festival also featured activities for kids such as pony and train rides.
The festival with conclude late Saturday night and is free to attend.
