Investigators ID Body Found on NSU Campus in Tahlequah

Investigating officers have identified the body of a man found on the Northeastern State University campus in Tahlequah.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations said the body, now identified as 49-year-old Anthony George Scott, was found in a car that was parked in a lot near the school's football stadium.

According to a press release over the weekend, this happened after authorities received a 911 call around 4:15 p.m. Sunday about Scott's body being found.

In addition to OSBI agents, Tahlequah Police and NSU Campus Police are working together in this investigation.

A news release from the OSBI said the situation is being handled as a crime scene.

An autopsy will provide a cause of death.
