In court Wednesday, Daniel Holtzclaw's bond was reduced from $5 million to $500,000. Defense lawyers wanted it cut to $139,000.
Holtzclaw is charged with 16 felonies. Investigators said he sexually assaulted women in neighborhoods near the state Capitol earlier this year.
At an earlier hearing Wednesday, Holtzclaw was set for a Sept. 18 preliminary hearing. A judge entered not guilty pleas for him.
The officer is accused of touching women inappropriately; one woman told investigators that Holtzclaw had raped her.
Holtzclaw was a standout linebacker at Enid High School and Eastern Michigan.
