Brian Bosworth Talks Life, Football, and Revelation Road

Former Sooner linebacker Brian Bosworth

For many, this is what comes to mind when you hear the name Brian Bosworth: "The Boz", a whirlwind of a linebacker for the Sooners and later the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL.

But for the past 22 years, Bosworth has been a fixture not on the gridiron - but on the silver screen.

"I'm programmed to be a football player, from the time I was a little kid. It was my dream. I mean, I'm still playing football... In my heart, my soul, I'm still playing football. My exterior, unfortunately, it can't withstand that," Bosworth says. "The acting thing just happened to be available at the time. It's not something I really wanted to do. They actually had to take me kicking and screaming to the first one, and even the ones after that."

His most recent film, "Revelation Road", premiers tomorrow night at The Joint at the Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa. The hope for this movie is that makes those in the audience ask themselves life's big questions.

"There's three questions we ask ourselves - where are we from, where are we at, but ultimately where are we going?" Bosworth says. "So if you know where you're at - and people spend a lot of time planning their day and their week and what I have to get done, but they don't plan their future. Their future, really, is where your soul will end up going. There's no U-Hauls going to heaven - you don't take your cars, your kids, clothes, or jewelry. All that stuff stays here. But your soul will stay here too if you don't give it to The Man."

I mentioned earlier that "Revelation Road" premiers tomorrow night at The Joint at the Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa. You can actually come out before that starts at 8 PM and meet "The Boz" during a meet and greet from 4:30 to 7 PM.
