Bridenstine Doesn't Rule Out Running for Coburn's Seat
Tulsa Congressman Jim Bridenstine isn't ruling out running for the Senate seat being vacated by Tom Coburn.
On Monday, his office released a statement saying "Congressman Jim Bridenstine said on Monday he is pleased to know that Dr. Coburn is not resigning strictly on health concerns. Bridenstine said he is honored by the number of people, statewide and nationally, encouraging him to run for the Senate seat, but he is not inclined to rush the decision."
Earlier in the day, fellow Republican Representative James Lankford announced he intended to enter the race to replace Coburn who is retiring at the end of the current session.
