Broken Arrow Police Officers arrested a man Thursday, Dec. 6 after allegedly leaving his two young kids in a running vehicle while drinking in a Buffalo Wild Wings.
31-year-old Jason Daniel Murray was arrested after police approached him while responding to a possible child neglect call.
According to the police report, Murray's two young children, a 2-year-old and a 5-month-old, were left in the vehicle while Murray was inside the bar area of a Buffalo Wild Wings. The report states that Murray's 2-year-old has atrio ventricular canal defect and is scheduled for heart surgery in January 2013.
The manager stated in the report that Murray was in the bar for approximately 20 minutes.
Murray denied any knowledge of leaving the two children in the vehicle and according to the report "stated that someone must have put the kids in the car while he was inside."
Murray confessed to leaving the children in the car and also informed the arresting officer that he had a loaded pistol in his waist band. Murray had a valid concealed carry license.
Murray was arrested for two counts of child abuse/neglect, carrying a firearm into a place where alcohol is sold, failure to inform police he was carrying a weapon, possession of a firearm under the influence of alcohol and public intoxication.
His bail is set at $107,100.
