Broken Arrow Man Arrested After Two Reported Burglary Attempts

A Broken Arrow man was arrested late Tuesday evening after two reported burglary attempts in south Tulsa.

Tulsa Police arrested Tyler Sweeden, 19, on charges of attempted first degree burglary and first degree burglary just before midnight. Both incidents occurred just before midnight.

According to the police report, Tulsa Police arrived at the scene of an attempted burglary in the 7800 block of S. 80th East Avenue. There, Sweeden had kicked in the front door of the residence in an attempted burglary.

He then went down the street to another residence where he made entry after kicking the door down. Police located him after they heard the noise from his break in.

Sweeden was then arrested inside the house and was taken to the Tulsa County Jail.

He is due in court on Nov. 21.
