Oklahoma governor Mary Fallin will soon expire the burn ban issued on May 5 due to significant rain fall across the state.
Gov. Fallin will end the burn ban on Wednesday, June 4 and does not expect to renew the burn ban for any county.
The burn ban issued affected 36 counties due to the extreme drought. County Commissioners in all 77 counties still have the authority to declare a countywide burn ban should conditions worsen.
