Cherokee County School Cancels Classes After Death of Superintendent
A Cherokee County school confirmed Tuesday morning the death of their superintendent.
Shady Grove School officials told KTUL that Fred Ferguson passed away after a reported heart attack earlier this week. The district is located west of Tahlequah.
A member of administration stated that Ferguson served the school as superintendent for the past 13 years. His service is schedule to take place Thursday in Tahlequah.
Classes have been canceled through the rest of the week in remembrance of Ferguson.
