Churches Hope for Justice for Missouri Victim

The public came out and supported a candlelight vigil for Ferguson, Missouri shooting victim, Michael Brown. Brown was unarmed when he was shot and killed by a police officer on August 9.

The vigil was held at Metropolitan Baptist Church. The church is located at 1228 West Apache Street.

Those organizing the event say the event was to peacefully encourage justice in the wake of Brown's death and raise awareness of the issues brought to the light after the incident.

Approximately 15 churches in the area partnered in the vigil.
