Broken Arrow City Councilors discussed a $60 million bond package, Monday evening. They decided to put the package to a vote, which will take place August 26.
The projects on the list include street upgrades, a hotel and conference center, an arts center and other quality of life projects.
The proposal includes an increase in hotel tax from 4% to 7%. The goal is to keep Broken Arrow competitive with peer cities with holding festivals and events to attract out-of-town guests.
The bond projects will not increase property taxes.
