City officials are preparing for a mix of winter weather this weekend.
It may be sunny and the temperature will remain above freezing through Friday. But beginning Saturday night things will change across Tulsa.
KTUL reports that a strong storm system is headed into the area bringing an increase chance for rain and snow. And with that Tulsa crews are preparing to hit the streets.
Michelle Allen with the City of Tulsa said that there are 7,500 tons of salt remaining at this time. Crews have cleaned and prepped the trucks for whatever weather will find itself in Tulsa.
Allen added that the amount of salt available for Tulsa is enough to get them through the winter for any other future systems.
