With only four days left until Tulsa welcomes a new year, city officials want to remind residents that local offices will be closed Tuesday.
On Tuesday, City of Tulsa offices will be closed for New Year's Day. But public safety and mission critical operations will operate as normal.
Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the City's 24-hour emergency number, (918) 596-9488.
City officials also announced that there will be no residential refuse, recycling, yard waste or bulk waste collection. Customers also will experience a change in their collection days:
For customers with once-a-week collection services:
There will be no change in service for once-a-week Monday customers.
Tuesday customers will be collected on Wednesday; Wednesday customers will be collected on Thursday; Thursday customers will be collected on Friday and Friday customers will be collected on Saturday.
Those customers with twice-a-week service will experience the following changes in service:
Monday and ThursTeday customers will be collected on Monday and Friday.
Tuesday and Friday customers will be collected on Wednesday and Saturday.
Wednesday and Saturday customers will be collected on Thursday and Saturday.
In addition to city office closures, Tulsa Transit bus service also will not operate on Jan. 1.
The Tulsa Zoo and Gilcrease Museum, however, will be open.
