City Working To Attract More Airlines To Tulsa
City leaders are working with officials at the airport to bring more airline service and more direct flights to and from Tulsa International Airport. Mayor Dewey Bartlett announced the new initiative Wednesday morning. The Chambers of Commerce for Tulsa, Broken Arrow and Bartlesville are also involved. The group says one of the first steps is to survey area businesses about their current and projected travel needs. Right now the airport is served by American, Delta, Southwest and United Airlines. There are currently non-stop flights to and from Tulsa to 18 airports in 15 cities nationwide.
