Colvin Tries Not To Look At OU-Texas As Rivalry Game
Before the Sooners can really get serious about devouring some fair food this weekend in Dallas they must first take care of business against the Texas Longhorns inside the Cotton Bowl.
It will be the 107th meeting between the Sooners and Horns.
OU defensive back Aaron Colvin spent a good portion of his life living in SEC country. But once he moved to Owasso he learned quickly that OU Texas is something special.
"You try to treat every game the same, but at the same time you realize what's at stake. It's a big rivalry game." Colvin said, "We know a lot of the players on Texas team. Personally one of my very very close friends Demarco Cobbs plays for Texas. You know you go out their and try to play hard and not try to look at just a rivalry game. But it's definitely in the back of your head."
The Sooners and the Longhorns kickoff Saturday at 11:00am on Tulsa's Channel 8. Join us at 10:30 for our Red River Rivalry Pregame Special.
