      Community Meeting For McAlester On Healthcare Needs

      The Oklahoma State Department of Health is asking for residents' input on their health needs.They are hosting a series of community meetings throughout the state in June, and McAlester is the first stop Thursday.The Oklahoma Health Improvement Plan was first launched in 2009 after lawmakers directed health officials to write up an improvement report.The current version focuses on improving the health of children, preventing tobacco use and reducing obesity.Anyone who wants to participate can either attend the meeting or take an online survey at http://ohip.health.ok.gov.
