Target is working to protect its customers after that massive security breach last year. The retail giant lost data on some 110 million customers when its computers were hacked.
The company offered free identity theft protection from credit bureau Experian. But it turns out that Experian has had troubles of its own.
Experian had a data leak through a subsidiary and unknowingly sold personal data of millions of Americans to a crook in Vietnam.
That guy then sold the data to identity thieves around the world.
Target and Experian insist the two incidents are unrelated.
