A construction worker was rescued from a hole near Rogers County courthouse in Claremore.
Emergency crews were notified of the incident before noon after receiving word that a man was trapped in a drainage ditch. The area around the courthouse has been undergoing construction for several months.
Officials at the scene told KTUL that the man fall and was stuck under concrete. He was removed with the assistance of the Claremore Fire Department.
A medical helicopter arrived on scene to transport the man to an area hospital. The area was closed off to allow the helicopter to land safely.
No identification was given for the construction worker. But he is expected to recover from the accident.
All activities at the courthouse returned to normal.
