Corporation Commissioner Jeff Cloud To Resign

      Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin is looking for a successor in the Oklahoma Corporation Commission with the announcement Thursday that Jeff Cloud plans to resign.Cloud -- who is Vice Chairman of the three-member panel that regulates public utilities, railroads and the oil and gas industry -- says he's resigning to pursue opportunities in the private sector.He's held the post for nine years and his current term is scheduled to end in 2014. Cloud did not provide a date that his resignation would take effect.Cloud says he plans to work with the governor to name a successor.He ran for a vacant congressional seat last year, but withdrew from the race for Congress over health concerns.
