The Army Corps of Engineers is evaluating options to keep Walnut Creek State Park open after the state opted to no longer operate the park.
State officials notified the Corps June 30 they plan to terminate their recreation lease for the park on Keystone Lake.
Corps officials say they are considering operating the park if they have funding or another public agency could enter an agreement to operate the park. If not, the park would close.
The state will continue to operate Keystone State Park.
