Cowboys Lose Heartbreaker At Iowa State

Exactly two months ago, the Iowa State Cyclones broke the hearts of the OSU Football faithful, beating the Cowboys in overtime.{} It was the only loss of the season for the 'Pokes.

History has a way of repeating itself.

The Cyclones used a buzzer-beating three by Scott Christopherson to stun the Cowboys in Aimes, 71-68.{} The Cowboys had a lead with under a minute to play, but ISU hit a three-pointer to tie the game.

A turnover by Markel Brown gave the Cyclones the ball with just under :10 to play, and Christopherson would capitalize.

Le'Bryan Nash had a standout game, scoring 21 points.{} At one point, early in the second half, Nash accounted for 11 straight OSU points.

Former Elite 8 winner Keiton Page also scored 21, hitting on 5 of 8 three-pointers.

Two Cyclones lead the way with 17 points a piece, Royce White and Christopherson.

The Cowboys return to the court Saturday, when they host No. 25 Kansas State.
