Cowboys Swept Away By Cyclones

Travis Ford's Oklahoma State Cowboys were looking for their fifth straight road win Wednesday night as they traveled to Ames. IA. But the Iowa State Cyclones ruined the Pokes plans. ISU wins 87-76.

Iowa State needed this win to stay in the running for the NCAA Tournament. ISU was led by senior Will Clyburn with 20. The Cyclones had five players in double figures.

OSU was down by as many as 14-points in the second half, but they battled back. Marcus Smart had a dunk with 4:28 remaining to pull the Cowboys within two, 70-68. Smart had a great game with 24-points, eight rebounds and five steals.

But that's a close as Oklahoma State could get. The Cowboys came into the game on a roll winning 10 of their last 11-games.

OSU falls to 22-7 and 12-5 in conference play.

The Cowboys finish the regular season Saturday at home against Big 12 co-leader Kansas State.
