Coweta Tigers Looking For Improvement

It is day two of high school football workouts across the state of OKlahoma. Wednesday we stopped in at Coweta High School where the Tigers are hoping to improve on last years 6-5 mark.

Coach Bubba Burcham enters his fifth season in Coweta. Last year the tigers were right there in every game they played.{} Four of the five losses were by 7 points or less. Giving this years team a lot of optimism for the upcoming season.

"We always have high expectations.{} Our goal is to always win the district championship.{} We're going to build off last year with a big senior class.", Bubba Burcham said.{} "A lot of guys played as sophomores were we went 9-3.{} We feel we had a good squad last year with just a few pieces missing.{} Hopefully we developed those pieces in the off-season and we're ready to go."

The Tigers open the season on August 31st against arch-rival Wagoner.
