Craft Beer Is Big Business In Tulsa

In recent years, the concept of beer drinking has changed a great deal in this country.

It's no longer dominated, by just a few giants companies.

The options for beer drinkers have exploded, thanks to hundreds of craft brewing companies.

There are now at least 11 of them in the state of Oklahoma.

With Choc, Marshall, Prairie Artisan Ales and Dead Armadillo brewing in this part of the state.

To celebrate their growth, this is Craft Beer Week in Tulsa.

Dinners and beer tasting are being held a McNellie's Pub and the R-Bar several nights this week.

Then Saturday it all wraps up with the Tulsa Craft Beer Festival Finale in Jenks.

Its put on by Freddie Lamport of Biergarten Wine and Spirits, because he promotes local brewers in his store.

It's on the west end of the Jenks Bridge at 807 East A Street from 11:00 to 3:00.

Tickets are $25 in advance.

We're told they are close to a sell out.
