A Creek County man is seriously burned when his home catches fire.
The blaze broke out around 10:30 Thursday night at the home about 5 miles north of Bristow.
A chopper met medics at the intersection of Highways 33 and 48 to fly the man to Tulsa for treatment.
Firefighters said he was burned while trying to escape, but should survive his injuries.
The man was a guest of the homeowner who was watching TV when the fire started. He said he defended his home from the wildfires last summer.
His trailer home was completely destroyed. Investigators say the fire was an accident.
