Car Fire Spreads to Apartments in Tahlequah Leaving Residents Displaced

Crews are working to contain a fire at an apartment complex in Tahlequah Thursday morning.

Initial details state that the call went out around 6 a.m. This was at the Pleasant View apartments on West Heritage Lane.

Officials at the Tahlequah Fire Department state that multiple crews were called to handle the situation. A resident at the apartment complex told officials that he went out to start his vehicle when he heard a loud noise and saw it on fire.

Details provided to KTUL state that the fire moved to the carport and then the apartment building. At least 16 apartments were damaged.

Crews were able to extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported at this time.
